Back to Bull Frog
Forgotten Canyon is a short 3
mile canyon at mile buoy 106. There are restored ruins and pictographs to
see if your in to hiking. The back of the canyon is good small
mouth bass fishing during the spring. We caught stripers at the mouth
along both sides at the ledges.
Jerry was the captain when we moved to different locations. The house boat would travel about 5 miles an hour. The top of the house boat was a great view point. Moving the house boat was a good time to relax. Chuck and I had been to Forgotten Canyon on a fishing trip. There was a nice spot for the house boat. This is the mouth of Forgotten Canyon at mile buoy 106. Forgotten Canyon is about 3 miles long. One mile from the entrance to Forgotten Canyon there is a side canyon to the right that is a good spot for a house boat. This is a view back out to the main channel from this side canyon that had a nice spot for a house boat. At the back of this side canyon is two large over hangs. There are deep fishing holes right off the back of the house boat. The fishing was good for small mouth bass, sun fish, and catfish. With the house boat parked, it was time to relax. We did some fishing for sun fish, or punkinseeds off the house boat. Jerry had a ball as so did the rest of us. Perry had his dutch ovens to cook the catch of the day. Great food, great fun, and grate company. Picture of Kodi and Karen. The ledge behind them was about 500 feet tall.
